Camilla Thuen

Camilla is a PhD candidate at The University in Bergen, and part of work package four (implementation) at the SFI. She has been working as a dietitian at Haukeland University Hospital since 2016 and will investigate the effectiveness of Mage-tarmskolen, the first standardized digital treatment program for patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in Norway. 

The goal of her PhD project is to identify whether the digital treatment program Mage-tarmskolen has a clinical treatment effect on patients with IBS. The project will also seek to investigate various patient characteristics, user behaviors, and different levels of access to content that may serve as predictors of clinical treatment effectiveness. To do this, the program is currently recruiting 800 patients to a randomized controlled trial (RCT) where the patients get access to varying levels of content.
