Beate Standal
Standal graduated as a psychologist from the University of Bergen in 2009, and is a specialist in clinical professional psychology with further training in cognitive therapy. She has experience from various positions in primary and specialist health care, most recently as a municipal psychologist.
The aim of Standal’s PhD project is to try to find out what is preventing the implementation of digital psychological interventions from speeding up. Digital treatments for mental disorders are not being used as much as there is potential for, and she will try to find out the reasons for this by interviewing therapists, managers and users of these interventions.
Standal has great faith in in digital psychological interventions and sees the benefits of this in practice. Her greatest contribution to the research project is the burning commitment she has to help spread good treatment to those who need it.
